Lessing’s Enlightenment

The observation on "the reason why Amelia died" has always been the focus of Amelia study in Lessing’s citizen tragedy. And observing the characters and the main plot of this tragedy under the form of the enlightenment, which provides a new way for studying the enlightenment view of Lessing and explaining "the reason why Amelia died". The thesis by the means of studying the Enlightenment to observing the characters and the main plot, in order to find the Symbolic meaning. The thesis aims to explain that the main characters and some important plot which are the symbol of the Enlightenment, and this symbol reflect the Enlightenment view of Lessing.The thesis’s exordium is divided into three parts:the first part, which primarily narrate research status and summarize the existing research results; the second part, it expounds the meaning and value of the topic; the third part, it is primarily to describe the Writing steps and methods of this thesis.The main text is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is about to choose the main character and analysis them one by one, then connects it with the Enlightenment and shows the internal relations; the second chapter is about to choose the important plots, which are "The prince proposed in church" " Orsina’s instigating" "Father kill girl", it will be used the same Analysis method as the last chapter, and in this chapter it will Contrast with last Research findings of last chapter, in order to show Initiation factors in this Script and Preliminarily Summary the Characteristic Enlightenment view of Lessing; the third chapter is about to use the Research findings of last two chapter,in order to Summary the Characteristic Enlightenment view of Lessing, which are the Conditional Enlightenment and the combination of enlightenment and religion.The conclusion assessed the value of the Enlightenment view of Lessing, and Point out that Lessing’s creation inevitably has a direct connection with enlightenment.
