The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship among perfectionism, delay of gratification, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Propensity and regret. A sample of520undergraduates was administrated with Chinese Conner’s Adult ADHD Rating Scales Self-Report, Delay of Gratification Questionnaire,"Maximation Scale""Imperfection Anxiety" and "Regret Scale". Statistical analysis was used to measure the relationship structure of the four variables above. These information were expected to provide theoretical reference to experiments in the future and the works of mechanism related to regret and the counseling and psychotherapy. After the statistical analysis, it shows:there is a significant positive correlation between Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Propensity and regret; Perfectionism is a intermediary factor between Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Propensity and Regret. Delay of Gratification is a moderator variable in the relationships above.There are five conclusions:Firstly, the person who has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Propensity more easily experiences regret. Secondly, the person who has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Propensity usually has poor ability of delay of gratification. Thirdly, the person who has Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Propensity more easily develops perfectionism. Fourthly, Perfectionism plays a completely mediating role in the relation between Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Propensity and Regret. Fifthly, delay of gratification play a moderating role in the relationships above. The study decides to reveal the complex relationships of the four variables with psychological measurement.
