As the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language,many kinds of textbooks have showing up from1980s, furthermore, thereare more and more conversational textbooks for foreign students. Amongthose various kinds of books, the Conversational Chinese301is one ofthe most popular ones. As it shares most of the market, it plays animportant role in teaching Chinese to primary foreign students, thus wechoose this book to analyze practicality of corpus, in order to give someadvices to writing textbooks.This essay is analyzing corpus of Conversational Chinese301, itaims to give some suggestions to writing textbooks through analyzing thepractical value combining with actual communication and feelings ofstudents.It could be mainly divided into three parts:Part1. Investigation on corpus through two ways: difficulty andscale.Part2. Combining with the features of primary conversationaltextbooks, we analyze the practical value of corpus through vocabulary,topic, conversational principles and cultural issues.Part3. According to those analyze before, we give some advices towriting primary conversational textbooks, and also give original view, which is training Chinese thought of foreign students. There are still somedisadvantages, we could complete it afterwards.
