Mr. Zong is one of the founders of modern Chinese aesthetics, his aesthetic theory ofartistic life had become the hot spot of the academic research in the mid1980s. Zong bai-huahas a thorough knowledge of both western and traditional Chinese, he expresses his thinkingof life and comprehension with the language of poetry and perceptual expression of art, andhis aesthetic is dispersive and full of individual characteristics. In this paper, the method ofintegrating theory with practice is used to interpret an important part of Zong bai-hua’s artisticlife system, which is summarized as the poetic and aesthetic theory. This article is designed tointegrate those scattered thinking and claims in each chapter into a poetic and aesthetic theoryfull of wisdom.This paper argues that, Chinese culture and western humanism philosophy together withaesthetics thought constitute Zong bai-hua’s main theoretical basis. Mr. Zong quotes a fewtraditional concept in the classical philosophy, such as "tao""gas""appearance""nature andhumanity", draw a conclusion that the intangible "tao" arouses the deep meaning of poetic art.The flow of vigorous gas is the understanding of poetic art towards the view of life;appearance in intangible stimulates the creation inspiration;"Nature and humanity" stands forthe ever-pursuit of aesthetic ideal. Zong bai-hua’s aesthetics rooted in the Chinese classicalphilosophy, at the same time, he didn’t forget learning and absorbing the essence of westernculture, Kant’s aesthetic theory and the humanistic ideas of Goethe provide the power ofthought for aesthetic theory. Hegel’s theory and western life philosophy bring theconsciousness of life into Zong’s aesthetics. The "four dimensional space" theory of Einsteinbrokes the barriers of space and time for the poetic and aesthetic system.The accumulation ofancient and modern Chinese and western philosophy become the art charm source of Zongbai-hua’s esthetics thought. In the creation of poetry, zong bai-hua proposes the theory of"poems have painting, painting with poems in", he holds the perspective of poetry andpainting are independent and linked to each other, mainly presented as the dialectical relationsin artistic conception of the existence of the unique convey.The poem and the performance ofthe painting each have limited scope and mutual expansion, and finally reach the aestheticideal all rivers run into the sea. Poetry and painting are essential to life shape and convey therhythm, through the artist of the beauty of life to express the message the eternal pursuit ofcharm. Zong bai-hua’s esthetics and the essential parts of poetry lies in the pursuit of artisticstate, he advocated that artists should try to build the intangible aesthetic realm with greatcreation and good quality. At the same time, Zong bai-hua expressed his requirements towardsto the main body of creation, he thought that excellent artists must have certain aestheticattainment, such as personality, knowledge, aesthetic state of mind and aesthetic ideals, thoseare indispensable conditions of artistic creation, especially in the field of poetry and painting.
