"Journey To The West" Ecological"Interpretation

"Journey to the West" as the traditional classics on its research results have been numerous, this article attempts to use eco-critical perspective to interpret it.Ecological criticism is a literary criticism,it produced by the ecological movement in the1960s and1970s of the twentieth century, it oppose anthropocentrism concepts and turn to the ecocentrism.The Chinese tradition of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism culture also contains a deep ecological thinking, this article tries to based on the traditional culture of ecological thought,drawing on the ecological criticism of the West, finding the Ecological Implications of "Journey to the West".This paper mainly discusses the aspects of ecological holism,natural ecological aesthetic,simple outlook on life and ecological salvation,etc:First,"Journey to the West" on the spiritual description of the flora and fauna,description of the flora and fauna with people, description of people and nature affinity relationship reflects the thinking of ecological holism.Second, The natural environment is not only necessary for survival of mankind, but also has aesthetic value."Journey to the West" shows many natural ecological beauty, and contains a wealth of ecological thinking.Third,to a certain extent,"Journey to the West" have some simple concepts of life, saves.natural resources, protects the ecological environment and plays a positive role in the maintenance of ecological balance. Fourth,"Journey to the West" describes some dilapidated ecological landscape, but also some eco-salvation thinking, reflected in trying to recover the destroyed natural ecological environment.
