The Research Of The Chinese Micro-blog’s Linguistic Style

It was no more than five years ago when Micro-Blog was first introduced in China, but the blog has presented a development of blowout type. It has caused influences on the economic, political, cultural, and other aspects of society, which can’t be ignored easily. Especially in the recent two years, you can find the roles of micro-blog in almost all the hot news event. Comparing with the impact of micro-blog, the research of it was far from enough. This paper use the method of making a quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis, trying to research micro-blogs from the perspective of linguistics, and reveal its language features.At first, this paper introduces the micro-blog’s concept, history, function, influence, and classification, showing this new-born thing comprehensively, to lay a foundation of the following analysis in the text. The blog is a network platform, which based on cable and wireless Internet terminals, and can release and get the information within140words. It has many functions, such as searching, releasing, forwarding, commenting, marking topics,@, sending private letters, using application, etc. It has many advantages, such as spreading fast, convenient and high efficiency, low threshold, the popular, etc. It has caused great influence on the Internet, news spread, economic, and social. According to the purpose of use, micro-blogs can be divided into following classes:recording events, recording feelings, communicating, talking and discussing, marketing products, amusing, etc. According to the content, micro-blogs can be divided into the political class, economic class, cultural class, etc.In the next, the Access database was applied to record the language material of micro-blog, which was collected in Sina micro-blog web site. Using Access, Word, and other corpora analysis tools, I made a statistical analysis of the micro-blogs’words, phrases, and sentences. The statistics projects including:the quantity of characters in each micro-blog, the use frequency of characters in all the micro-blogs, the length of the words, the use frequency of words, use frequency of parts of speech, the quantity of sentences, the quantity of clauses. Then the process of quantitative statistics was completed.After that, I compared the language of micro-blogs, short messages, and blogs, from their communication process, communication occasions, communicators communication mode, communication goals, communication topic, vocabulary, syntax, rhetoric, etc. Highlight the micro-blog’s language features. Then the process of qualitative analysis was completed. Finally, basing on the research of last chapters, I summarized the linguistic style of Chinese micro-blog. It has open, refined sex, arbitrary, uniqueness characteristics.
