This paper is about the application of the theory of markedness in describing andexplaining various asymmetrical phenomena of Madarin le in Chinese grammer.Chapter1analyzes and criticizes the approaches of treating le as either one or morethan two entities, indicating that there are both a lot of similarities and imbalances insemantics、pragmatic、language acquisition、dialects.Chapter2explicates the markedness theory and proves the markedness pattern of lewith the criteria of markedness preliminary.Charpter3rearranges and analyzes the grammaticalization of le, confirmeds that le1and le2are different Grammar variants of the same entity in different syntactic positions.Chapter4adopts the “actualization” as the core of the semantic concrete, explores themotivation of the markedness pattern of le which is finally decided by closure of le1andcontinuity of le2.
