Opera By Luo Huaizhen Research In The Context Of Chinese Contemporary Opera

Chinese opera, as one of the world’s oldest three drama style has been spread untilpresent(the other two is ancient Greek drama and India ancient Sanskrit drama). Chineseopera withstand the Millennium baptism, but she always with its unique charm nourishesthe soil of ancient oriental culture. Yet at the present, there has been great differentbetween Chinese contemporary drama and traditional opera, even to the extent in essence.She has their own characteristics at the literary perspective, using methods, performancestage, aesthetic implication and so on. And in the contemporary drama writers, LuoHuaizhen’s drama style is unique, she can fully reflect the new features of contemporarydrama. This article specifically analysis the Luo Huaizhen’s drama respectively from theliterary theme, characters, artistic technique three aspects to conduct a comprehensivestudy, to recognize which embodies the characteristics of contemporary drama. In theprocess of elaboration, the article will be set in contemporary opera background to be ofconcern, in a diachronic perspective to compare Chinese traditional opera and Chinesecontemporary opera, summed up the characteristics of new period Chinese opera; in asynchronic perspective, to combination macroscopical times overall reflection and microspecifical study of the Luo Huaizhen’s drama, demonstrated its unique charm and presentsignificance of plays. In research methods, because contemporary opera on the style form,has some common characteristics with the Chinese traditional opera and traditional operain Europe, so this paper applied drama and traditional opera theory. From which, we cansee, Luo Huaizhen’s drama not only from a modern new perspective to explain his ownworld; to interpret contemporary person’s passions with the form of classical; by a deepand sharp vision penetrate deeply into the human feelings and human nature, but alsoshows a gentle and ultimate humanistic care of its backside. because of his plays, to make the presence of Chinese contemporary opera has a more broad view and a kind of theworld the broad bosom.
