A Research On The Archival Method Of Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection

For the effective protection and stable exchange of intangible cultural heritage, thethesis explores the theory and the practice of the archival method of its protection.Intangible cultural heritage and archive have several common points on property, suchas originality, authenticity, historic, diversity and sociality, which provide the mostimportant theoretical basis on the archival method. Moreover, the archival method ofprotection is in close contact with the basic theory of archive and information science.Obviously, the theoretical basis of the archival method is very profound. Severalexisting ways of intangible cultural heritage protection have their own advantages, butthey also have some inadequacies. However, compared with other ways, the archivalmethod has obvious advantages. In practice, the archival method of protection should bejointly supported by four macro environments, which contain laws, organizationalmechanisms, awareness of protection and personnel. Then the other specific programscan be carried smoothly, such as the collection, archiving, storage, utilization andpropaganda of the intangible cultural heritage.
