The Comparative Stitdy On The Ancient Ceramic Exhibition Amongst The Museums

The Chinese ceramic is the quintessence of the wisdoms and art created by ourancestors, and again is the important material medium to inherit the national culture. Atpresent, most of these precious cultural heritage have been exhibited in the localmuseums which makes them became the indispensable window of showing art charm ofceramic, promoting national culture and strengthening regional culture exchange andtransmission. So, the quality of the exhibition condition in the museum directly related tothe successfully implementation of these goals. Conducting the survey and analysis ofdisplay status of the ancient ceramics in each of the museum and making it plays a realrole in the cultural heritage, communication and transmission has become crucial for us.Based on the study of kinds of museums, this paper carried out a comprehensive anddetailed comparative research on the exhibition of the ancient ceramics in the typicalmuseums both at home and abroad. And then summarized each display’s similarities anddifferences, strengths and weaknesses, and also the causes for this. Meanwhile, Pointingout the shortcomings of the ancient ceramic exhibition in the domestic and discussing thedevelopment tendency of the ceramics exhibition in the future. The comparison contentchose in this paper mainly includes three aspects: Firstly, the comparison between thedifferent types of the ancient ceramics exhibition at domestic; Secondly, comparing withthe classic ancient ceramics exhibitions amongst the foreign museums; Thirdly, thecomparing of the ancient ceramics between the domestic and foreign. The author expectsall the above comparisons and analyses can, to some extent, promote the developmentand improvement of the ancient ceramic’ exhibition in the museum, present the richceramics culture for audiences, and further, strengthen the ancient ceramic’ effect on thecultural heritage, communication and transmission.
