By referring to the relevant theories of art museum science,this thesis describes the functions of art museum,briefly reviews the development status of art museum in China and introduces the situation and position of art museum in the Chinese cultural background.On this basis,through the data analysis of the exhibitions presented in Jiangsu Art Museum from 2007 to 2017,this thesis reveals the problems of Chinese Provincial Public Art Museums,such as that the exhibition categories are too regional and simple,the functions of Curator and exhibition planner are too simplified,and that there is lack of long-term planning of museum collections.The thesis also provides an analogy to the successful cases of overseas art museums correspondingly.In addition,it is also taken into considerations how to explore the public area of art museum,participations of the public,the network construction and information communication of art museum.By taking Jiangsu Art Museum as an example,the thesis proposes following solutions to the problems in the development mechanism and perspective of Chinese provincial public art museums:1.The source for curator selections should be professional and diversified.2.The public functions should be strengthened through the adjustment on the exhibition pattern,time and public space.3.The content and form of exhibitions should be internationalized on the basis of traditions and characteristics.4.The communication of art museum in today' s new media era should fully utilize the platform and tools of the internet. |
