Yusi which was published in1920s is one of the most influential publications in Chinese modern literature. It was the first magazine focused on essays, comments and prose.The great achievement she had made in the history of thought development in China benefited from Chinese intellectuals’humanitarian spirit. The research of political, cultural, economic problems was very extensive and complex. The writers of Yusi were not only looking at the local conditions and customs but also the usage of beautiful words. They are the witness of the change in China after the May Fourth Movement. Aesthetic features about leisure literature got preliminary established in it.Chinese modem literature and Yusi are connected. Firstly, the ideas of history among the writers are completely different. It speaks a lot to their own opinions on traditional problems. It is also supposed to be an establishment for Chinese modern literary in contemporary society. Part1of this article will detail this. Secondly, the content of foreign culture which is the supplement of the first part was introduced by the writers in Yusi. It takes a very important functional role in Chinese modern literature, and shows a new perspective about foreign culture. Part2will explain it. Lastly, the writers were involved in something which outside the literature that was considered to be a way for their rights’update. It is a broad concern about political. If the first two parts show the problems that every influential journals will face and solve in the May4movement period, this part is special. As an introduction of Yusi, Zhou Zuoren said the writers did not have any interest in politics. A few articles, however, are containing veiled allusions to it actually. The formation of "Yusi style" thanks to that. It not only transmits plentiful significance, but also creates it. Yusi which was constituted a political guidance for the readers contains a lot of ideological content. The third part will expound the influence of Yusi style when literature became a political behavior and it is a comprehensive summary of the characteristics of the text.
