The Dialect Pronouns Research In Zuoquan’s Urban Area

ZuoQuan County locates at the edge of ShanXi province’s middle area, the western foot of Taihang Mountains and the QingZhang River’s upper stream. Regarding Zuoquan County’s urban dialect as the research object, this paper collects linguistic materials from fieldwork, and employed the method of synchronic comparisons in comprehensive and detailed analysis of the basic features in pronoun system of Zuoquan County’s urban dialect for the first time. It is hoped that the research of pronoun system of Zuoquan County’s urban dialect is able to provide new data for studies about the grammar of ShanXi dialect and to be helpful to deep studies of Chinese dialects’grammar.The pronoun system of Zuoquan County’s urban dialect contains personal pronouns, demonstrative pronouns and interrogative pronouns. Its forms of expression, semantics traits and grammatical function have distinctive features which are different with their counterparts in mandarin. Through comparisons of pronoun systems between Zuoquan County’s urban dialect and mandarin, main features of all kinds of pronouns are summarized in this paper.
