Deng Xiaoping once said:It depends on teachers, as to whether a school can cultivate qualified, comprehensively developed and socialist-consciousness talents. As the new force of teachers, geographic student teachers’ abilities to teach class have influence on teaching qualities and efficiencies. Because of lack of solid professional knowledge, teaching experience, geographic student teachers’ class teaching is insufficient. We should pay attention to the mistakes of geographic student teachers’ class teaching and help them change into qualified new teachers or skilled teachers, which will shorten teachers’ growth. So the thesis has the practical significance. The thesis consists of five parts.The first part introduces the background, significance, object, process of the thesis, and defines some key concepts. At last of this part is the review of relevant research on geographic student teachers’ mistakes in class teaching.The second part is the analysis of features of geographic student teachers’ mistakes in class teaching. Through the observing, recording and arranging of student teachers’class teaching, the author will analyze geographic student teachers’ mistakes in class teaching in aspects of speech, text, question-asking and organization of class teaching.Part three makes out the reasons why geographic student teachers make mistakes in class teaching. The author looks for, arranges and analyzes the researches and does interview with teachers in high schools. Then the author makes analysis of reasons in aspects of student teachers’personal qualities, cognitive differences and education probation system.In Part four, the author puts forward some practical strategies from colleges, student teachers and high schools point of view, so student teachers can decrease making mistakes in class teaching.Part five is the conclusion of the thesis and the thinking of further study on geographic student teachers’mistakes in class teaching.
