Since the reform and opening up, the Chinese watercolour has developed prosperously with an unprecedented speed and a diversified situation turned up like a hundred flowers in full blossom. But the watercolour teaching in college can’t come up with the prosperity of watercolour, it falls behind. Characterized by the backwardness idea and model of college watercolour teaching, the monotonous curriculum setting and teaching content, the sterile teaching process, the traditional teaching evaluation model and the absent creative training because of the technology concentration and act neglected. In order to fit in with the developmental tendency of the watercolour diversity and to improve the backward situation of the watercolour teaching in college, the writer thought that only on the basis of watercolour ontology language keeping and teaching developing to lead and direct the exploration and innovation in the students’watercolour creation boldly to train more and better watercolour talents.Part1, the development of Chinese watercolor introduction and the current situation of the Chinese watercolor diversified.Part2, analyze the current situation of watercolor teaching in college through these three aspects:the training goal of the college watercolor education, the current situation of the watercolor study in college and the features of the teaching in college.Part3, introduce the possibility and inevitability of the watercolor teaching should be innovative and explain it though the following aspects: the superiority of watercolor has its own innovation; the innovation material and development direction which provided by the human geography for watercolor; the diversity of the watercolor texture provide a boundless imagination for innovation; and the watercolor teaching should be innovative under the diversity context today.Part4, it is the core chapter, elaborates on watercolor teaching focuses on the innovation under the diversity context, the most important in innovation is the idea; then the innovation in heritage, that is the innovation dredged in the traditional ways; the last is the heritage from the innovation, that means the exploration and innovation in tools and materials, skill and technology; the last goal of innovation is the harmonious development between innovation and watercolor ontology language.Part5, the conclusion and the prospect for Chinese watercolor development and its teaching.
