The four major kinds of traditional print still occupy dominant place, owing to the limitations of block printing technique, they can hardly satisfy the artists’ requirement of expression, in addition, promoting of science and technology development, the print of mixed media has become eminent, its trend of innovation has become to get anywhere, it is worth research with great interest. The aim of paper is to explore and research through mixed media application in print producing, introducing the present condition of mixed media development and its positive role on development of print, to consider exist problems and method of solving, seeking the developmental direction of mixed media.The paper has three main parts. The first part introduces the conduct of the print of mixed media、the background of producing. The second part classifies comprehensive way of the print of mixed media, concluding differently the three kinds of prints that mixing plate making to apply various medias and skills, and mixing in kinds of print, and mixing with other art forms and supplying typical works,and discussing differently. The third part explains positive role in mixed media application in print producing. Refining above positive role:1、striding across limits of kinds of print, improving the level of freedom of producing;2、using of modern science and technology, extending the theme of producing;3、exploring the medias of plate making, enriching the languages of the mark in printing plate;4、 changing the form of expression, renewing the medias of bearing print;5、 satisfying the requirement of people appreciation of the beautiful, enriching the expression of people’s feelings and so on.Conclusion part sums of the item of paper, and directing the misunderstanding in mixed media application, affirming the value of mixed media application in print producing.
