A Glimpse On The Art Characteristics Of Folk Song Of The Han Nationality In Hunan

Hunan is a province with advantageous geographical environment and many nationalities. The folk songs of Hunan are rich and various and have intricate styles. It makes people realize that even in a province, when the geographical environment, habits, dialects are different, the melody, pitch interval, rhythm and mode of each folk song have its own characteristics. Therefore, this paper wishes to briefly talk about the style and art features of the folk songs in the Han nationality in five regions of Hunan, including Central Hunan, Eastern Hunan, Southern Hunan, Western and Northern Hunan.The text is composed of introduction and three chapters. The Introduction part sketches the geographical and cultural characteristics of Hunan Province. The first chapter does a brief summary on the overall style and art features of Folk Songs of the Han nationality in Hunan and analyses the music characteristics in four regions one by one with music scores. The second chapter compares the infiltration and contact between Folk Songs of the Han nationality in Hunan and Huagu Opera and takes the song "Xi Caixin" as an example to explore the approaches we should pay attention to when singing in the way of folk songs. The third chapter thinks about how to interpret Folk Songs of the Han nationality in Hunan and pointed out that we should attach importance to the analysis of music ontology and the use of dialect.
