As the most important writer in English literature, Dickens had always been creationaccording to the trend of19thcentury. In his work, he exposed the hypocrisy, greed, fierce ofsocial upper and bourgeoisie in realistic writing style. For lower class, such as female,children, old people, he always showed sympathy. He write hard-work people seriously,praised the true, the good and the beautiful of people, looked for more reasonable society andbetter life. This article researched on the female characters in novels of Dickens from EthicalLiterary Criticism Perspective, overviewed of the ethics and aesthetic value of female in hisnovels.Paper is divided into three chapters:The first chapter overviewed the creation background of dickens novels and divided intothree parts. The first part introduced the society civilization ideological trend of19thcenturyin which Dickens lived. The second part told us Dickens how to absorb the Ethical LiteraryCriticism in his creation. The third part deduced how did the life experience influenceDickens’ creation.The second chapter is the main part of the paper and divided into two parts. The firstpart analyses the female characters in novels of Dickens. These characters could be dividedinto two kinds: one is moral model, the another is moral corruption model. The second parttold the reason which caused the ethics chaos, and the secular ethics, religious ethicscontained in the female image.Based on inheritance and development of English traditional culture, Dickens createdfemales with special aesthetic value. The third chapter studied the ethical literature andaesthetic value of female images, which divided into three parts: the first one analysisDickens ideological trend construction on British traditional culture, the second part talkedabout the female image aesthetic value, the third part statement the merge together of ethicalliterature and aesthetic value in Dickens female images.
