The Research On Psychological Thought In Wen Zi

Wen Zi, a highly controversial document of Pre-Qin Taoism, wasconsidered a pseudograph all the while. So it was unknown to public inthe history of philosophy and ideology. However, the incomplete Wen Zibamboo slips were unearthed at No.40Han graves in Ding County, HeBei Province in1973.They were reorganized. It was found that the sixchapters of the incomplete Wen Zi bamboo slips were same as thecurrent edition of Wen Zi. There were also some articles which were notfound in the current edition of Wen Zi. The discovery of the Wen Zibamboo slips expurgates the dense fog persisted for hundreds of yearsand proves that the Wen Zi is a literature of Taoist’s ideology, not apseudograph.The academic research is stimulated by the discovery. Researchersconsider that it has significant research value. we should resume thestatus of Wen Zi in the history of philosophy and ideology. Althoughthere was some discussion about each layers of Wen Zi thought inacademe, such as “Tao”,“Inaction”. However, the whole Wen Zithought is not included. For example, no scholar has ever studied thepsychological thought in Wen Zi, whereas the psychological thoughtwhich contains abundant connotation is worth paying close attentionand studying for us, which leave over a new route to research.The main aim of this study is expected to make a thorough researchand discussion on psychological thought in Wen Zi. The outcome of the study may be used f or reference and enlightenment. I nthe meanwhile,this study will fi ll a gap of the study of chi nese psychological history.
