A Multi-dimensional Study Of "qian A Wan B" Format

This thesis chooses a format of“qian A wan B”to inspect. Wefirstly discribe and analyse the structure,and explain the situation ofthis format from the perspective of cognitive linguistics, also analyseand discuss the history of evolution of the format,so that we can havea comprehensive understanding and accurately use it.Chapter one is the introduction part.It introduces the purposeand meaning of this paper,the current situation of the research on thequasi-fixed phrase and the format“qian A wan B”.In chapter two,we mainly analyse the composition and thesyntactic function of this format.In this format,A and B are verycomplex,and the part of speech of qian and wan changes.After thestudy of the format,we find that the format can act as subject,object,predicate,attribute and other ingredients.In chapter three,we mainly discuss semantic features andpragmatic features of the format of "qian A wan B". This format has twomeanings which are about number and emphasis,and it is diversewithin the semantic relations.A variety of factors influence the order of Aand B.The functions of expression of the format are reflected inrepresentation,statement and modification. This format has distinctivefeatures in the rhythm,style and other aspects,so it is unique.In chapter four,we mainly discuss the cognitive features of theformat of qian A wan B. We explain that "qian A wan B" is bounded in the aspect of boundedness and unboundedness. Then we analyse theblending degree of the format. From the subjectivity aspect wediscover the format expresses subjective adequate quantity.In chapter five,we mainly study the history of evolution of "qianA wan B". The format has a long history,and many factors make itproduced,and compositions and functions of the format has changedin its history.Chapter six makes a conclusion of the thesie,and shows thatthe result of the study play some roles for the discussion of other formats.
