"Chinese Rhapsody No.3" is written for Saxophone and dedicated to the "God Father of Sax", Paul Brodie, Huang’s close Canadian friend.Chinese Rhapsody No.3was composed e in Toronto, Canada,1988. Written in Saibei Folk Style, the music is divided into5movements without stop. As usual, Huang didn’t use any folk song. But the tipycal taste of Huang’s "Zhang Jia Kou accent" is pretty easy to be identified.Created by Franz Liszt, Rhapsody is such a music form that folk tune and concert virtuosity are both always emphasized. Following this footprint, An-lun Huang’s Chinese Rhapsodies are also especially effect in the tastes of the different Chinese folk tunes.This dissertation include five parts:the first part describes huang’s life, his creative achievements, the second part, from the background of creation, creation reason and Rhapsody introduction to study about "Chinese Rhapsody No.3".The third part from playing methods and emotional processing for macroeconomic analysis, and with myself understandings. The fourth part is about the music form, melody, rhythm, theme, harmony, tonality, accompaniment texture.This is the most important point of the whole paper The fifth part is aesthetic characteristics about "Chinese Rhapsody No.3".
