The Composition Techniques And Presentation Of Theme In The Rhapsodie Pour Orchestre Et Saxophone By Claude Debussy

Compared with other instruments,the history of Saxophone,with only 200 years,is rather short.It has attracted people around the world with it easy accessibility as well as the beautiful and enchanting sounds it produces,possessing both the mellowness of woodwinds and the power of brass instruments.The instrument is seen in all kinds of places,from music palace to streets;and is used to play a wide range of music,from classics to jazz.As a graduate student majored in Classic Saxophone,it is necessary for the author to know its history and to explore the essence of certain pieces of the music.In this thesis,the author thoroughly studies a classic work played by saxophone,namely,Rhapsodie Pour Orchestre et Saxophone by Claude Debussy.By providing the history of saxophone and the life story of Claude Debussy,the author will present some of his understanding of this work and share with the readers his experience of learning and playing saxophone.
