| "The City of Quality of Life" is the concept of city development and the city brand about Hangzhou. This paper describes the aesthetic life situation about quality of city of China, and takes the case of Hangzhou to study the aesthetic dimension of the quality of city life. Comparing the quality (The quality includes meaning of taste) of city life to the quality of city life, we discovered the aesthetic connotation of the quality life: Aesthetic connotations of life quality study the living feelings and life activities state, which emphasis that people reflect on life and create life with aesthetic mentality and enterprising spirit,in order to enrich the daily life of the mediocre, finally making people’s life quality to the aesthetic level, making daily life to get spirit sublimation and beyond. The Aesthetic connotations on quality of life mainly include life taste, life style, and life interest. Life taste indicate life is infinitely interesting for people and the aesthetic reflection; life style indicate life is a perfect fusion in life processes between the spiritual temperament and way of life or the life form, including the personal life style and public life style; life interest is people’s positive emotional experience.Take Hangzhou as case, the quality of city life in China’s aesthetic development contains the traditional aesthetic spirit, but also exists historical limitations. In traditional Chinese city, the development of city stresses to politics, economy, military and culture, the city’s aesthetic construction is scarce, city aesthetic elements development extremely limited; The city is limited to a small citizens of the privileged, citizens of the aesthetic quality is not high, and people’s aesthetic living is not usually in cities, but in rural landscape and poetic nature, so the aesthetic development on the quality of city life extremely slow and not perfect.Contemporary Chinese city pay more and more attention to aesthetic development of quality of city life, and to the ordinary people in contemporary city, the aesthetic life is not only proper nouns of ancient scholars’ drawing and writing, modern scholars,"capital" and a few "elite", and is part of the aesthetic life in postmodern public people’s life. To some extent, esthetic life fuzzy the position, the power, property, the identity of the esthetic subject, anyone who have an aesthetic mentality will have aesthetic life anywhere and any time. Since ancient time, Hangzhou people especially know life interest, exquisite life taste, the pursuit of our daily life, their way of life and life attitude reflect the aesthetic dimension of the life quality.The aesthetic value of life quality is to promote the aesthetic construction of the city, making the person get free, develop fully, live poetically on the earth. The city construction not only make people live in aesthetic environment of urban greening and get the perfect facilities in city’s cultural construction, but also promote to enrich the people’s daily life. In today’s city construction, we should combine the view of humanism and ecology, mix the engineering construction and landscape designing together, so that the people living in the city can feel harmonious between natural environment and humanistic environment, really enjoy beauty and warmth of the city. From higher sense, city construction needs to engage with the aesthetic factors, because the people have felt aesthetic is the center mark measuring our daily life quality, but in reality of the construction of city, aesthetic construction meet a lot of challenge, the main objective is to city renewal bringing the claims, the lack of individual subjective aesthetic quality and practice in life, so we should take some possible countermeasures, improving the aesthetic construction of city. |
