| The title of this history thesis is "Studies of Shaoli and Society in Han Dynasty". The thesis has studied some certain interactions of Shaoli and society in Han dynasty. Meanwhile, the thesis also consults many sage studying results, is on the basis of full use of masterpieces of literature and bamboo slips, inscriptions, lute seal, tile book, bronze inscriptions and the integrated use of subjects knowledge such as history, sociology, psychology, archeology, and statistics so as to restore the true face of Shaoli and society in Han dynasty.According to thesis, there aren’t any strict distinguishes between "Guan " and "Li" in Chinese, which can be called "Guan" in Qin and Han society. It can be divided into two categories of "ZhangLi and "ShaoLi" according to their salaries level. The definition of "ZhangLi "refers to the officials whose salaries are "Er Qiandan to less than Er Baidan" in Bureaucratic groups. The definition "ShaoLi "refers to officials whose salaries are "BaiDans DouShi and ZuoShi" in Bureaucratic groups. Generally speaking, Shaoli is always selected by Zhangli. The salaries of the Shaoli is very low:BaiDan, monthly salary is sixteen Gok (Units of measurement in ancient Chinese); DouShi, monthly salary is eleven Gok; ZuoShi, monthly salary is eight Gok. Although the government increased the salary many times, Shaoli’s was also less than ErBaidan (monthly salary is twenty seven Gok), which indicated some certain restrictions of Shaoli in Han dynasty.According to thesis, there was many specific names of ShaoLi in Han dynasty, which is widespread in central, county (Yap, Hou, Salt and Iron officers), township of Han government. The specific names and the number of ShaoLI were very small in the beginning of Han dynasty, which were generally increased in the middle of XiHan to DongHan dynasty. The main increasing trend was the proportion of ZhangLi got a downward in county but ShaoLI got opposite. It not only reflected Han’s demonstrative organization became more and more mature but also showed the important role of ShaoLI in Han dynasty. In other words, ShaoLi was the main pillar of social order and administrative operation in Han dynasty. Moreover, Han government had many institutionalized rules for ShaoLI such as the voting right system, the promotion system, social treatment and so on, which had a great affect on official selection, the adjustment of bureaucratic structure, social order and the other social difficulties. Meanwhile, ShaoLI, as a social entity, also changed their roles with the development of social personnel system, the evolution of the ideology and social thoughts, which further contributed to the historical pattern of practice.Based on the above-mentioned historical facts, we can draw a conclusion:there was a social interactive model between ShaoLi and society in Han dynasty, namely "Han government paid much attention to ShaoLi’s social status" and "ShaoLi gave a positive feedback in return", which brought a greatly combined result can explain why there are so many clean and honest government officials, less corruption but more integrity, long-term stability in Han Dynasty. |
