It provides the platform for Guangxi’s documentary. In2011, satellite TV channel in Guangxi revised, and gave priority to dozen classic documentary plate later at night time. But also it increased the new luminescent to show the essence of documentary featuring.Guangxi is a fertile soil for documentary production. From the first awarded documentary<dragon ridge> to the latest awarded documentary<the white pants>, Guangxi’s production of documentary highlights a dominant position to minorities in subject matter,. As the window of The ASEAN, the prosperity and development of Guangxi documentary has location advantage,because it provides the historical opportunity.Whether the television documentary, the movie documentary or the system of the folk documentary, DV documentary,they are the main force of the Guangxi documentary creation. Throughout the past Guangxi documentary, we can find the whole Chinese documentary’s development. Especially in the last two years,some documentaries break the traditional documentary to provide documentary creation of thought innovation.But they also bring lots of problems and challenges.This paper’s primary theme is Guangxi documentary and its development.
