It isbelieved that this book involves three kinds of marital patterns with rich culturalimplication. Wu Jingzi’s opinion on marriage is full of Confucian thinking. That’s alsothe reason why he denies imperial examination system and fame and fortune but praisehighly traditional Confucian mores.
