Chinese painting has a long history, five thousand years of splendid civilization gavebirth to the unique Oriental Charm of Chinese painting., the constant galloping of the longcourse of time, and the wheels of history bring mankind into a new21st century. In such ahighly developed contemporary society, Chinese painting, with its unique oriental aesthetictaste to play the leading role in today’s art scene. Diversification in the types of painting, andselect the theme of liberalization, so that contemporary Chinese painting shows a flourishingprosperity. In many painting subjects, paintings about Tibetans as the performance isexceptionally compelling.China is a multi-ethnic country. When open the history of Chinese painting, there is noshortage of minority theme concerned with the expression of dynasties. Three to four decadesof the20th century, a surge wave of painting the performance of border customs of ethnicminorities occurs at the stage of the painting.The rise part of the painter tend to spare noeffort committed to the creation of the Tibetan theme, and made great achievements. After thefounding of new China, after more than half a century of exploration development, theTibetan theme once swept the entire Chinese painting, and become one of the most excitingchapter of the contemporary history of Chinese painting.In this Paper, Minority Paintings made a brief combing the historical evolution of thePaintings about Tibetan,and Paintings about Tibetan show the basic characteristics aresummarized, and aesthetic significance in the contemporary Paintings about Tibetan arediscussed. The entire article is divided into three major sections, the first chapter from thehistory of the Chinese minority Paintings leads the Tibetan theme of the painting, and then astage overview of the development of the Paintings about Tibetan are combed, the secondchapter summed up the basic characteristics from the regionality, nationality, times of Tibetanpaintings. the third chapter is to explore the contemporary significance of Paintings about Tibetan from the current social reality.The Tibetan people have a long history of ethnic and a brilliant national culture,combined with their mysterious and noble religion, Tibetan theme has increasingly becomean inexhaustible source of art for the painters to explore the art form, to stimulate creativeinspiration, to pursue artistic personality. Tibetan people who exudes the simple,determination and outspoken beauty of humanity and their pure, noble spiritual world, makesthe Tibetan areas in this once isolated paradise gradually become spiritual home and the mostideal soul habitat for the artist struggling to pursue it. In the new historical period,thePaintings about Tibetan will usher in a new surge of development.
