Since the people’s republic of China founded in1949, especially the course of industrialization in the First Five Year Plan (FFYP), a wide range of State-owned industries began to emerge along side with an increased need for labors. Absent of a purely competitive labor market during the New Democratic era, the supply of labor was the highest link in the chain of command of a centralPlanning machinery, as a topic to deal with, this essay attempts to shed some light on the most important part of labor resource and factory management, especially on the shaping of modern industrial workers. Based on the predict research program and a great deal of informative, I chose a Chemical fertilizer factory on Phosphate in Taiyuan, which was arranged and established in FFYP and seemed as a representative of such many state-owned factories during the New Democratic era. As a labor-intensive factory, the management on various resource labors and transfer to industrial workers played a key part in manufacturing smoothly and enlarging the China proletariat. In order to maintain the workers can contribute to the cause of greater production, the commitment in factory made a working organization and formal technical study. Under the campaign involves the technicians and clerical staffs of industry as well as factory hands, the classification of workers gradually established by various type of working procedure and manufacture. This article is made up of four chapters:Chapter1is brief introduction on transformation from labors to industrial workers. Various of composition such as young adults peasants graduated students and other labors, were absorbed into the factory. Chapter2is focus on analyzing the composition of workers. This chapter contains3sections:section1counting up the workers’ age and birthplace, analyzing the spatial variation; section2deals with the family origin based on the four clean-up materials, section3chooses the women workers as a case to analyze the condition on marriage and family.Chapter3, I try my best to deal with the workers’ spirit by analyzing a single worker’s case.At last, I make a brief conclusion. In a country justly pursuing the modern industrialize, the People Government of China places extraordinary stress on transfer labor resource into modern industrial workers in state-owned factories. Under the democratization of management, the status of workers confirmed. The workers may be given a voice in the planning and organization of productions, government directives require the factory administrative committees be set up in state-owned factories. In the process of Chinese industrialize, a large group of untrained labors transfer rapidly into industrial workers. This transfer may be seen as the promotion to the Chinese Industrialize, meanwhile it also bring so many negative effects in modernization.
