The independence of Bangladesh is closely related to India’s intervention. When the west Pakistan was defeated by India, the Bangladesh win independence. So, the government of Bangladesh should be keep friendly relations with India. But Bangladesh—India relations presents a process of ups and downs. The paper is stand in the perspective of Bangladesh to analysis the change of Bangladesh—India relations and the disputes and problems. Thus, it’s pay more attentions to the change of political in Bangladesh which led to the variation of two countries. The article focuses on the two questions.Firstly, it summarized the development of35years relations in Bangladesh and India from1971to2006. it can divide three parts:the relations in Mujib Rahman era or friendship on trial, the relations in the Martial law government and democratic government that since1990. Among these three parts, it narrated the development of relations by signing a series of treaties on both sides, the mutual visits of leaders and accords the benefit of two countries on some disputes to be solved. It also described the reason for twists.Secondly, the paper summarized these issues that affect bilateral relations in detail and systematic. Including a share of the Ganges river, the problem of illegal immigrants, the dispute of Enclave and Border. The article also more explanation to the origin and process and stand that on both sides of these problems. At the same times, the paper is to clear that the friendship of Bangladesh and India is closely connected with these problems. When have a friendly relations on both sides, they can take a more rational attitude to look these problems, on the contrary, these disputes become tension and intensify.And still today, both sides have no consensus on these disputes. But along with the development of bilateral relations in friendly and mutual understanding. The two countries will find a way that accepted by both sides to solve these problems. The relations of two countries will achieve a greater progress.
