Qiyang opera which originated from QiYang has more than500years of history, it rooted in village and serviced for people for a long-term time, it standing in the long history of opera with its unique musical culture. Its musical culture is very rich, and has accumulated abundent treasure for us in music, painting, art, performing art, etc. and was enrolled into the list of national non-material culture hesitage in2008. This thesis regards the TanQiang of music of Qiyang opera as object of study, on the basis of on-the-spot investigation and uses some related theory such as the analytical study of musical piece, musical aesthetics and national musicology and so on, and researches whose features from the type of meter in music of TanQiang of Qiyang opera, the structure of the composition, the approach of melody’s development and the accompaniment of musical instruments, etc. to do my little bit to help researchers research deeply and provide some valuable references.This paper was divided into three parts:Chapter Ⅰ focuses on analysis of type of metre for music and its application of Qi Yang opera,it was divided into two parts to write, that is, the analysis of strict metre and the analysis of free metre. Chapter Ⅱ did the in-depth study for TanQiang music from three angles, that is, the development practices and forms of melody, the tonality of melody and the structure of music. this chapter is the key point of this article. Chapter Ⅲ focuses on writing accompaniment of QiYang opera, primarily from three angles,that is, the formation of the orchestra and its history,the prelude、intermezzo and epiloque, and the accompaniment with orchestra and percussion. then to shed various forms and characteristics of accompaniment in TanQiang music.
