BackgroundCollege graduates, as a special group, are the main force of socialist modernization. Cognitive abilities of college graduates were developed rapidly in the college, but not enough depth of thought, lack of social experience, and weak in mental bearing capacity. Especially in the face of increasingly severe employment situation. Graduate Record Examination pressure, love and other life choices, easily break the inner balance. They often have serious emotional pain and inner conflict, some even lead to extreme behavior, and their personality conflicts in the stress state.Medical graduates face relatively less work choices, the requirement on medical graduate becomes higher and higher. With a variety of medical tangle are often seen in newspapers, their psychological pressure is quite larger than the general graduates. After graduation, most of these medical students are to take up the responsibility of saving lives. They are to serve patients with complex mental activity. Whether in terms of the graduates themselves, or of national interests, their own mental health is particularly important. How to help the medical graduates to avoid or eliminate the psychological stress and psychological disorders, improve the quality of their mental health and quality of life, help them to grow and develop healthily, adapt to the current state and the developing social environment positively in which they’ll later become a master of advanced medical technology and professionals which mental healthily, and it has become the focus of our attention and need college educators to give more attention and deep thinking. Therefore, my survey is specifically concern on the anxiety situation of Binzhou Medical College graduates who will leave school a week later.ObjectivesQuestionnaire survey was taken in graduates of Binzhou Medical College who will leave school a week later, to understand the situation and determinants of the anxiety of graduates; propose related countermeasures and suggestions to improve the current anxiety situation of the graduates, provide a reference for managers to develop policies.Materials and methodsGraduates of Binzhou Medical College who will leave school a week later are the study subjects, including graduates of clinical medicine, nursing, dental, clinical discipline of Chinese and western integrative medicine.Samples were random selected, and investigated by a self-made questionnaire and self-rating anxiety scale. The self-made questionnaire including gender, age, major, students and places, whether one-child family, relationship status, parents’ occupation, parents’education level and economic status, professional satisfaction and the employment situation, etc.Results(1)1139people has been surveyed, of1127responses, the effective rate is98.1%;(2)2011-year-graduates of Binzhou Medical College are in a high level of anxiety before they leave school. According to the anxiety assessment standard, the number of different anxiety levels and composition ratio is as follows:824without anxiety symptoms, accounting for73.11%;303with anxiety symptoms, accounting for26.89%, in which241moderate anxiety, accounting for21.39%,62severe anxiety, accounting for5.5%;(3) The impact factors of graduates’ anxiety before their leaving school are gender, major, parental occupation, employment situation, and love status. In all of these factors, employment situation is the most relevant factor;(4) Girls’anxiety ratio is higher than boys; there is a significant difference between them;(5) The anxiety level between these five majors and graduate from high to low are nursing, dental, clinical medicine, pharmacy, clinical discipline of Chinese and western integrative medicine. The anxiety level between different majors is significantly different;(6) Students from rural areas are more anxious than those who from cities, the anxiety level between them are significant difference;(7) Family finances quality and graduates of anxiety that has obvious correlation, the difference has a statistically significant;(8) Parents’occupations were civil services have the lowest incidence of anxiety; parents’occupations were farmers have the high incidence of anxiety; the difference are significant different;(9) Incidence of anxiety is inversely proportional to their satisfaction with their study field, the higher satisfaction with their study field, the lower incidence of anxiety; different levels of satisfaction and different anxiety status are significant different;(10) The anxiety level of the students who have no employment intention and have employment intention but did not sign is quite high, the anxiety level of graduate students attended minimum, different situations of employment and anxiety level of graduates are significant different;(11) Anxiety levels of graduates in different states of relationship are significant different, lovers whom hesitant to break up may have the highest ratio of anxiety, and their anxiety is the most serious;(12) Anxiety levels of graduates of which whether experienced career guidance, whether only-child family were not significant different.Suggestions(1) In the term of student:To learn self-adaptation, positioning correctly; strength professional knowledge and skills, to improve their own ability for employment; change the concept of employment and establish a positive employment view.(2) In the term of university:To establish high-quality mental health education team, organize psychological health education activities, establish a scientific and effective psychological crisis intervention mechanism; strengthen construction of employment guidance organizations and build a scientific career guidance system; strengthen the career values education and develop their career view.(3) In the term of family:Parents and relatives should be concerned about the psychological status of graduates, and communicate with graduates; give the correct positioning and evaluation of students and some useful suggestions to help them deal with various psychological problems during the graduation period.(4) In the term of society:Improve employment mechanism of medical graduates, perfect incentive mechanisms and policies which lead students to service in the west and primary health institutions.
