| The numerous kinds of concession’s performances in either Korean or Chinese Grammar System are the key and difficult point for the language learners who study both Korean and Chinese. This article managed to use the Presupposition Theory in Pragmatics to carry out the research, and based on the practical usages of language to analyze the concession clauses. In the first chapter, from the perspective of ontology and comparison between China and Korea’s current research situation, the author found that the previous studies mainly focused on the classification of concession clause in the macroscopic system. These studies either did the general studies of the concession clause from the semantic and syntactic perspective or just discussed a single concessive successive suffix. The in-depth research from the pragmatic aspects especially comparative study is relatively scarce. Therefore, from the perspective of pragmatics, the contrast analyses to the concession clauses in Chinese and Korean still have a certain value. Then in the second chapter, the author gave the literature review of the Presupposition Theory, and its related concepts and classifications, specified the viewpoint adopted by this article to provide the theoretical supports for this research. And in Chapter Three, the author uses the Presupposition Theory to discuss the representative concession clauses in Korean and Chinese respectively. On the basis of the three aspects of the Presupposition Theory, that is "presuppose expectations""denying expectations" and "containing", this article is carried out to analyze the embodied characteristics of concessive clauses in the actual language usages. In the forth chapter, according to the analysis results in the third chapter, discussed from the following four portions:proposition of excess and deficiency; the starting point of presuppose expectations; concessive clauses’ expression purposes and inner feelings; whether the clauses before and after the concessive clauses form contrastive items. The author found out the respective characteristics of Chinese and Korean concessions, and similarities and differences between the two languages. At last, in the conclusion part, after going through the whole passage, analyzing the results of contrastive, the author reach the conclusion and identify the shortcomings and deficiencies in the research process, as to be able to continue to study the research aspects in the future. |
