It has been20years since China and South Korean established the diplomatic relations. Though several frictions occurred between Korean Chinese and the South Korean, in common effort of both governments along with the support of social organizations, finally both sides ended up in mutual understanding of each other. Although lots of writers have written about the situation, in this paper, I will discuss about 《Rootless Flowers》 which is written by Lianshun Xu.《Rootless Flowers》 is telling about real life stories experienced by Korean Chinese writer Lianshun Xu who was seeking family root in South Korea along with clear identification established upon ideal cognation gained through friction between Korean Chinese and South Korean. As the first literature written about Identification of Korean Chinese,"Rootless Flowers" shares the milestone significance.By reviewing history of Korean Chinese immigrating to South Korea perusing better life in South Korean Society based on analytical research results set up by historical criticism methods, comparative literature image study, scattered poetics, novel aesthetics theory method. The purpose of researching this paper is to find right answers to several questions as follows:What kind of ideas or thoughts do the Korean Chinese have for citizens of South Korea after immigration? What kind of reorganizations do the Korean Chinese hold against South Korea? What is the reason for the phenomenon that so-called South Korean National Image described in novels written by Korean Chinese? What kind of implications could we get reading "Rootless Flowers"?In this paper, it is describing historical background behind immigration of Korean Chinese to South Korea, along with social problems caused by this phenomenon. After, turn to self experience made by author Lianshun Xu and character observation against "Rootless Flowers", did thorough analyze on South Korean Image from utopian image to the devil in real space image. At the end came to several conclusions tracking the change of thoughts of characters showed in "Rootless Flowers"Firstly, Korean Chinese think they specially connected to South Korean sharing same blood, and also believe that South Korea will offer them with more business opportunity. But after they step into the South Korean Society, they start to doubt about their own identity because of experiences filled with discrimination and ignores threw by South Korean.Secondly, it’s no doubt that "The South Korean Dream" brought certain wealth to Korea Chinese society, but on the another hand it also resulted in labor loss of Yanbian Korean Chinese autonomous leading to crisis of autonomy along with Farming population loss in agricultural land and marital issues, Young Generation Issues caused by vacancy of parental protection.Thirdly, Korea Chinese workers bored discrimination and ignores while they work in the South Korea, and as a result they came to recognize the fact that they themselves are Chinese citizens. Also after years of communication they learned a way to live with South Korean.Based on the research of "Rootless Flowers", this paper will tell about the virtual and reality stowed by South Korean Society, gain and loss of Korean Chinese, a new way of living with South Korean learned through change of identification. And also it is offering literature value during mutual communication between Korean Chinese and South Korean.
