The thesis consists of six parts, Introduction which mainly introduced the status of the research in Song Qi’s poetry and his life overview, literary thought and literary creation overview. On the basis of this thoughts, Song Qi’s masterpieces are featured not only rich in content but also in varied figures of speech, especially in his style of metrical composition like that of the poetry.According to the subject matter, Song Qi’s poetry divide into argument poetry, lyrical singing from poetry, ceremony and other poetry. Chapter one is on the creation of argument poetry, which mainly analyzed from governance poetry, sexual way poetry, immortal interpretation and fable poetry.Chapter two is on the creation of lyrical singing from poetry. This sort has taken on new features in Song Qi’s works which are soft and rich in emotion, simple and smooth in language, and clear and bright in style. The researcher analyzed from two aspects:singing poetry and lyric poetry.Chapter three is on the creation of ceremony and other poetry. It is deeply and detailedly analyzed from cult, other ritual, sacrificial vessel, literary, apital.Chapter four is art features of Song Qi’s poetry. Art features is unique which mainly included fu assigned to study, allusions, rhetoric, language art etc.The last one is conclusion. Song Qi, born in humble house and held the political career, is expert in the style of metrical composition like that of the poetry. His works are not only various in the forms and contents, but also rich in styles. His learning become with its such thing as the great talent, which saved many poetry in northern Song dynasties, and also become famous in northern Song dynasties. To sum up, the masterpieces of Song Qi are provided as precious treasure on the development of the literature in Song Dynasty.
