Zhang Jun is one of important researchers on The Book of Changes and his academic theory is on the basis of justice of nature and influenced by philosophy since Sorthern Song Dynasty. His work’Zi Yan’s interpretation on YI’builds up theories on the basis of Image-number. It not only inherits the YI traditions from Han Dynasty, but also assimilates the YI theories from Song Dynasty. By virtue of this work, he aimed to elaborate his views concerning self-cultivation and national governance. He attached importance to the function of heart and achieved harmony between human and heaven through the’center truth’.
