In the present, people realize importance of Chinese language, and it has been inserted as fundamental language in every school. Unfortunately, it is not a required language in vocational education in Chiang Mai, however student in vocational program in Chiang Mai, who realize the importance of Chinese language can choose to take Chinese course on their own. This research aim to complete the following objective.1. To study reason and objective in taking Chinese course of student vocational program within Chiang Mai province.2. To study improving factor in learning Chinese language of student vocational program within Chiang Mai province (Learning Environment, Learning result, and satisfaction of teacher).3. To motivated and inspired student to improve in study Chinese language.Process of this research is gathering information from student in vocational program in Chiang Mai province who choose to take extra course in Chinese language with questionnaire and interviews.From this research we can conclude that, The vocational school have open Chinese course as fundamental language course, as same as English language. Some school Chinese language is required language skill; however, in some school the course is required only in some department, such as medical department. The requirement of Chinese language skill, in school which student is not proactively study make student have to find motivation in keep on study. This motivation often refers to promising career in the future or opportunity to study aboard. The students think that Chinese language is extension skill, and help them gain advantage over competitor in finding good career.The students have good opinion of Chinese language. Teachers are the main influence for learning activity and result of student. In addition, teachers also teach Chinese culture to student. Students are hoping for improvement in learning Chinese language, they are expecting better learning environment enhance by current technology and longer study time to be more than2hours per week. They are also expecting that the knowledge they had learn, can be used in real life and applicable in works. They also hope for support from both Thai and Chinese government.
