Historical materialism and dialectical materialism, combined with the professional requirement, the use of relevant theories and concepts of history, ethnology, history research methods, with the existing Chinese historical records, in the reference and absorption of the basis of the results of domestic scholars mainly to do research on the issue of government rule of the Ming and Qing dynasties edge of the Tibetan Policy Chieftain Mu Family development, as well as Tibetan Buddhism relations.
