The Studies Of The Literature Activity And Literary Thought Of Peng Duanshu

Peng Duanshu is a Bashu famous litterateur and poet In The Qing Dynasty, experiencing the most prosperous time of the Qing Dynasty-------Kangxi、Yongzheng、 Qianlong Periods. in the he plays an inportant role in ba-shu literature. Not only write poems, Peng writes essays too,and gets attainments in these two aspects. Moreover,we can find out his theory of literature from his books such as talking about poems in smowy day which appreciates and evaluates the poems of past dynasties. In recnt years,there are some scholars study him.but it is not sufficient. So I want to study Peng Duanshu’s literature activity and literary thought through this article, let everybody know him more, and understand preferably Bashu Culture through it.In this paper I discuss Peng Duanshu’s accomplishment of literary creation and literary thought by the method of literature and art aesthetics and social history method. In addition to the introduction, this paper is divided into three chapters to discuss. The first chapter introduces Peng Duanshu’s lifetime, the social and cultural environment he lives and people who influence him in the same time. The purpose of the introduction is to do an analysis of background about Peng’s literature activity and literary thought. The second chapter summarizes Peng Duanshu’s feature and weakness of literature through analyse his poems and essays. The last Chapter I talk about Peng Duanshu’s literary thought combining his notes on poetry and these thoughts reflect in his creation of literature.
