The creation of the female writers of the May Fourth Movement, as a group ofwomen writing in the first decade of the modern Chinese literary history, opening up atruly independent sense of prelude to the development of female literature. The resultsof their group creation, whether in the various fields of poetry, prose, fiction, drama,there are some excellent works.Indeed, vernacular fiction writing is the main literary style in the creation of thisgroup of young women writers, and therefore this thesis to select their novel writingas a text object of study. Based on the existing status quo, this paper proceed from themale characters in the novels of women writers of the May Fourth Movement, writinga whole phenomena of male images, approached the female literary history of thedevelopment of the first generation of women writers in order.This thesis is divided into three parts of the topics discussed. The first andsecond parts of the thesis to the male characters in the novel of the May4th femalewriters in accordance with the more traditional classification of age and identity tosummarize discourse, analysis of the emotional purport of women writers in theprocess of writing male characters. The third part of the text of the May4th femalewriters on the shape of the male image presented by the characteristics of the reasonsdescribed through text style and female writers group factors of these angles on theother. The entire paper on the topic of writing discourse has not been obtained asmaster as a strategically advantageous position of controlling the overalleffectiveness, but to write slightly my own understanding of the male image in thenovel creation of the May Fourth generation of women writers.
