Krzysztof Kieslowski is one of the few contemporary directors whoconsiders philosophy of life by using films. His films are calledhumanism art films. His films provide important thought to seekrelief ways for individual life, when human mental crisis happened inthe twentieth century,, especially the time when the humanist spiritlost and the standard of ethical values changed. Therefore, theresearch of his film has important meaning of inspiring thephilosophy thought. The research method of this thesis will base on film narrative, filmsemiotics, psychoanalysis, aesthetics, and many other related arttheories. But we only can consider these methods as an analysis intothe movie rather than the absolute theoretical definition. This thesiswill still use the film itself as the most important and fundamentalpoint, exploring the true meaning by full mobilization of this film’sintuition, to establish the theory of multiple methods of tolerance. There’re more people also doing the research of KrzysztofKieslowski’s films. Pu Jian,“Krzysztof Kieslowski film research”and Li Jun,“Form and Culture-Krzysztof Kieslowski film research”are summarizations of the nature on the thesis studies. There alsohave comment for single films, such as Guan Hongxing “‘SwanSong’ of spiritual Catcher-Krzysztof Kieslowski (blue, white, red)Narrative Research”, Wang Juncai “the selection of the philosophicalperspective of Krzysztof Kieslowski (blue, white, red)”, ZhaoJingrong “waiting for the souls met–reading and explainingKrzysztof Kieslowski(La double vie de Veronique)", etc. We also have Dai Jinhua “center director of the ‘blue’”, Liu Xiaofeng “Aglimpse of love” with the modern sexual ethic interpretation and soon, which need to be focused on. Within the studies of these thesis,we find out they all focus on the style of the films and recognize theconsistence of the style and content of the films. But the views on thephilosophical and aesthetic aspects of Krzysztof Kieslowski’ film isobviously insufficient. The thesis which I wrote here presents anattempt in this regard, aims to explore the metaphysical aspects ofKrzysztof Kieslowski’s philosophical reflection and metaphysicaldimensions of human plight reality of the plight. Art, after all, isissues of “people”. Therefore, we only can be into the world ofKrzysztof Kieslowski’s films with the deep human expression anddepth of human nature. Meanwhile, the ethical dilemmas of the breakare also dependent on the awareness of self and consciousness. Theresearch of this thesis will be based on the later films of KrzysztofKieslowski “Blue”“White”,“red” and “La double vie de Veronique”“The Ten Commandments”, exploring Krzysztof Kieslowski’sconcern for individual lives from a philosophical point, theperformance of people’s ‘mental pain’, the care of situation on humanexistence and the thinking of ultimate value of philosophy for human.Meanwhile, the other hand, with the development status of Chineseart films, we can find something favorable and inspiring for thedevelopment of Chinese films by the art research of KrzysztofKieslowski’s films.
