Comment On Irrigation And Water Conservancy In Hexi Corridor In Gansu Province During1949-1965

China has been a large agricultural country since the ancient times. As the mostimportant part in agriculture, water conservancy facilities construction plays an majorrole in the development of our society and economy. After the foundation of thePeople’s Republic of China, in order to promote the economy and modernconstructions, the Chinese party and government set up a series of policies to impelthe development of water conservancy facilities construction. People in Hexi Corridorin Gansu Province have taken a positive part in the movement sponsored by theChinese party and government, with enthusiasm. From1949to1965, waterconservancy facilities constructions here gained so great achievements, of whichpeople thought highly.Hexi Corridor in Gansu includes three drainage areas of Shiyang River, HeiRiver and Shule River.
