The theoretical significance is the integrity of being people, theintegrity of political education, the integrity of scholarship, the integrity of pursuitinginterests.The practical significance lies in promoting and carrying out the good faith,which is conducive to the healthy development of socialist market economy, and isbeneficial to promote the construction of political civilization helpful to overcome theunwholesome tendencies in academic field as well to promote the construction ofspiritual civilization.The Second Chapter implies the thought of good faith from the traditionalconnotation of integrity and its basic contents of “Analects of Confucius”. First itreveals the traditional faith in “good faith”meaning, and then from the integrity of thepeople, integrity, honesty, good faith government scholarship to facilitate the fouraspects of its basic content.In the Third Chapter, it makes a historical analysis of good faith thought in“Analects of Confucius” from two aspects of its essence and historical limitations.Itsessence lies in good faith principle “Analects of Confucius”, thought of good faith inorder to“benevolence”of this, integrity thought contains rich humanistic spirit,integrity and moral character is self-discipline; Its Historical limitation lies in itsreligious mystery, patriarchal hierarchy, moral supremacy. The Fourth Chapter discusses the contemporary value of good faith thoughts in“Analects of Confucius” from four aspects of economic life, political life, culture lifeand social life. First, it analyses the credit deficiency phenomenon and its causes fromeconomic, political, cultural and social life, and then points out its times valueaccording to the thoughts of good faith in “Analects of Confucius”.
