Taiping Scripture is the important book of early Taoism. Family ethics mean thestandards of behaviour and codes of ethics which adjust the relationship of familymembers. The family ethics of Taiping Scripture, which are the parts of religiousethics, have been studied comprehensively and productively by the domestic andforeign scholars. So my paper is based on the existing achievements and furtherthinking. Thanks for them. The crossover method of study, which includes two ways, one between science ofreligion and ethics, and the other one between literature explanation and rationalthinking, is very effective to my paper. In my research, the discuss of family ethics istentatively divided into three parts-its substruction of the theological theory, the ideaof marriage, and the perception of married life. The perface contains following matters-the theoratical significance of my paper, the academic historical review of the correlative study, and the method and content ofmy study.Chapter1is about the substruction of the theological theory of Taiping Scripture’sfamily ethics. Cheng-Fu, which means consanguineously intergenerationallysuccessive karma, is considered as the rationale of family ethics of Taiping Scripture, after the cautious study which is based on the existing study and furtherargumentation, such as the origins of Cheng-Fu idea, the explanation of Cheng-Fu’sconnotation and summarization of its struction and mechanism.Chapter2is about the women in family. The wowen were the main roles of familyin ancient times, while the men were the protagonists in society. The influnces ofdifferent family ethics on women are different and the Daoist Yin-Yang Harmony ofTaiping Scripture is very important for the ancient Chinese women’s roles and lives, which is necessary to be studied-its historical background, intellectual context andhistorical boundedness.Chapter3, which is fractionally similar with Chapter Two in content, but is diffentabout optic angle, is abuot the idea of marriage and fertility. The main contents arethose: Bigyny, means that one husband can marry at most two wives, is hoped to takeplace of Polygyny; the men and women are equal on the personal integrity of chastity;preferring boys to girls is incorrect, and women must be respected; emotionalgratification is considered as the foundation of married life. The above-mentioned ideas of Taiping Scripture’s family ethics are valuable forformer society and a mirror for today.
