Study Of Meaning-analysis Of "Zenme"in The Modern Chinese

There are lots of studies about an interrogative sentence and an interrogative adverb in the modern Chinese grammar, and "怎么" is the typical interrogative adverb that we often use in our daily lives. But there is only one learned book which was written by "邵敬敏" and just two master’s thesis about this subject. It is not enough to explain syntactic and semantic features of "怎么". We can divide the usage of "怎么" into an interrogative, non-interrogative and a rhetorical. And the interrogative usage can be divided into an inquiring method, an inquiring cause and an indirect question. The indirect question also can be classified into three sections;:“怎么……都/也……”,“无论/不管/随/随便/任/任凭……怎么……”,“无论/不管……怎么……都/也/总/总是/还……”.Although“怎么”is an interrogative adverb, and making an interrogative sentence is a main function of an interrogative adverb, but non-interrogative usage of "怎么" is not unusual. The statistical data shows there are five million sentences in the corpus and there are three thousand of sentences including“怎么”.And among them,65%have no questionary information. Therefore, we can say that non-interrogative usage is as important as the interrogative usage. Non-interrogative usage can be divided into a pronoun usage and an anaphora usage, and a rhetorical usage of "怎么" can be classified into four sections;:“(前提句),怎么+能愿动词+VP”,“VP和(前提句),怎么+VP”,“(前提句),怎么+副词+VP”,“(前提句),怎么+这么/这样+VP”.These three usages of "怎么", we usually use them in our daily lives. Therefore, this study analyzed their features through the usual sentences. This paper also compared "怎么" with Korean interrogative adverb, and clarified their similarities and differences. We compared and analyzed them through the usages of "怎么" on "Korean-Chinese dictionary" which is published by“高丽大学民族文化研究院”and this paper’s sample sentences. This study provides some advices on interrogative adverb“怎么”,and tried to reveal similarities and differences between“怎么”and Korean interrogative adverb.
