Chinese Traditional Graphic Art In The Design Of Inheritance

Design is a cultural phenomenon of the human society, and it is rooted in life andinfluence with life. The Chinese ancient ancestors laid the foundation for the emergence anddevelopment of art design and also provided valuable material and spiritual wealth. Art designcombined the aesthetics of art with the practice of technology to service the human life. Fromhuman survival environment to a person’s food, clothing, shelter and transportation, art designinvolves social factor, cultural factor, economic factor, scientific factor and many otheraspects.With art design is playing an important role in the field of visual communication, therehas raised the new upsurge of design works that both have highlights and national culture.Firstly, this paper discussed the origin and the meaning of traditional graphics, as well as theprogress of art was evolved by technology. Based on these, the paper horizontally analyzed theinfluence of traditional graphics including totem, graphics, and painting. Secondly, the paperexpounded the history of traditional graphics that from original stoneware, jade and bronze,from Qinhan art to Six Dynasties style, from strong color of Tang Dynasty art to literatipainting style of Song Dynasty art and Yuanmingqing art. It analyzed different artistic styles fdifferent period vertically. And then, the paper connected traditional art with modern art, andpointed that modern art should inherit and develop the essence of the ancient ancestors. Onlyif Chinese design is putted into Chinese art history, it can form and promote the spirit ofChinese traditional art. Finally, the paper pointed that only if we can correctly understand thebasic law of the collision and the fusion between tradition and modern, we can design theworks having Chinese aesthetic thought and aesthetic taste.With the development of science and technology, the profoundly original graphics provideus with a lot of static resources. By using modern technical means, such as photography,computers, digital technology, we can make the traditional graphics originality beyond thescope of their own performance, and bring image and shock to audience.
