| The ceremony as a social life, one of the most intuitive, vivid, the most normative and operational behavior, is a carrier of various cultural phenomena. For the past years, domestic researchers have been carrying on constructive studies on them respectively from the perspectives of cultural, anthropology, sociology, ethnology and so on. This paper will focus on the ceremonies of "avoid flood plagues by killing monsters" in specific literary works in late Ming Dynasty to Qing Dynasty metaphase, With the popular fictions which are more closer to folk beliefs being templates, especially the narrative ceremony of Xu Xun in Ferrous Tree written by Deng Zhimo and A Speech Feng Menglong. Try to seek ceremony description from the folklore of literature, art and aesthetics field in the narrative literature works, through researching on these narration that have been processed by writers, new characteristics and aesthetic connotations of ceremony connotation can be shown.After study of the natural and social cultural background in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty, literature ceremony in those popular fictions become the main research object. Monsters’appearance and behavior, as the object of ceremony, have mutual association with folk beliefs and multi culture; Master, as the subject of ceremony, what they have done can be seen as "Hero killing dragons", Character image was build under the influence of collaboration between Buddhism Confucianism and Taoism; Means of ceremony, such as sword and ironware, both have relations with folk beliefs. As ceremony entered literary works, they were also endowed with new characteristics and aesthetic connotations of natural and mysterious by the writers. At the same time, more "avoid flood plagues by killing monsters" story in fictions become popular people-to-people, they also produced certain effect on the folk beliefs. |
