“shanghai-style stand-up comedy” is a stage show language which is built on the basis ofthe seaside culture. Its relaxed and cheerful atmosphere and funny humorous discourse isrepresentation of restrained, subtle and diverse Shanghai school culture, both traditional andfashionable. Shanghai burlesque, northern crosstalk, contemporary talk show is the threemajor sources of "shanghai-style stand-up comedy ", which also determines itsdiversification of humor and funny words. In the general downturn of talk show in thecountry, humor style of Zhou’s “shanghai-style stand-up comedy” can be described as ameteoric rise, unique one. You can achieve great success with a person, a mouth, and aglass of water, the key lies in that Zhou himself constructed a comic stage discourse andunique interpretation of his stage comedy. In this paper, we take his stage words from2009to2011’s “One week show of libo” as the main study object, take “discourseanalysis” as the carrier, to explore it from the dimension of pragmatics. we also use thetheory of grammar, cognitive linguistics, language and culture to researchcharacteristics and advantages of the discourse, analyze and deconstruct it throughoutside to the inside, from one point to a large scale.Addingly,we interpret the component,characteristics and unique style of discourse of the “shanghai-style stand-up comedy”.This thesis consists of five parts: The first part is introduction, mainly on the presentstudy profiles of Zhou and his “shanghai-style stand-up comedy”, and full ideas andperspectives of the account; The second part is analysis and summary of the discoursecharacteristics of “shanghai-style stand-up comedy”; The third part is start from the scale ofuse the discourse to composed material, analysis from the language code, body language,voice, vocabulary, sentence, and many other aspects of the stage comedic style of“shanghai-style stand-up comedy”; The fourth part is from the inside and outside of words, touse the discourse analysis approach, combined with specific instances of the words,review the construction of stage comedic style of “shanghai-style stand-up comedy” ofZhou; The fifth part is start from the application of the principles of cooperation,politeness, association and of such, make a more profound pragmatic analyze to itscharacterization of humor and funny.This paper attempts to make a more comprehensive and thoroughly analysis and graspfrom the perspective of micro-discourse to the stage discourse of Zhou’s “shanghai-stylestand-up comedy”, and to reveal its features and advantages of comedy from pragmatics ofthe discourse, so that we can achieve a more comprehensive understanding of the humorand funny style of “shanghai-style stand-up comedy”.
