“The red flower” is an impressive part in every child’s memory in China. Being acommon prize in preschool education, it is very important in children and theirparents’ heart. We discover that “red flower” represents teacher’s evaluation to a child.“Red flower” represents good kids in children’s heart through an investigation on theteachers’ understanding of “red flower” in preschool education. But, this evaluationwhich is from behaviorism is actually belong to dualism that means “yes or no”.Children can’t understand the abstraction of this evaluation, they can’t understandwhat is good and what is bad. They will have absolute thoughts by the evaluation of“red flower” which is disadvantageous to children’s development. Professor Zhangxiangkui (2009,2010) put forward the revolution of “red flower” and explored thechange of evaluation in preschool education. On the basis of “the revolution to red flower”, the purpose of this research is toconsummate the theory and practice of the new evaluation and summarize the theoriesabout evaluation in psychology and education which can contribute to children’sdevelopment. On the basis of professor Zhang’s “the three-phase of Self evaluation”,this research design a new guidance project to teacher in preschool, then carry out aneducational experiment in an experimental class to examine the effects of the newevaluation mode on Kindergarteners’ self-development. To control the development ofyoung children’s natural change, the research set up a control class. The resultsdemonstrate: the new evaluation mode will promote the self-awareness andself-esteem development; for self-control,the effect of promotion is not obvious. Finally, there is an overall evaluation of the new evaluation mode.
