The Impressionism was a very important transition between the Romanticism in19th century and modern music style in20th century. The basically factors of music changed a lot in Impressionism music style such as theme, tonality, harmony, texture, musical construction, etc. than those other music styles before. These deeply evolution unsealed an entirely new music world and The Impressionism music possesses an especial status in the history of music.French musician, criticist Claude Achille Debussy (1862-1918) is one of the most important persons in the history of the evolution of music in20th century. He developed his own special style in piano music which explored the new effects can be played by piano.The12piano etudes was a late work by Dubussy, as one of his most mature works, the12etudes explored many possibilities the sounds can be played by piano, and assembled various tasks in technologies and musical aspects. These pieces have highly value to study as well as play in concert.This paper consists of the following two aspects:The first chapter includesthe backgrounds and contents of Debussy12Etudes and main ideas about how to play it as well as an essay which describes my thought when I practicing these etudes.The second chapter is a studying recording includes five etudes, although it was possible that I made some mistakes,I still recorded my feelings in order to deepen my comprehending as well as providing some suggestions to friends who have interesting to studying and performing these etudes.
