Ceramic production industry is one of the important manufacturalindustries for Tang dynasty. Ceramic wares of Tang dynasty is famousat home and abroad for their unique figures and decorative styles. Webelieve that besides the highly prosperous social economy, theimprovement of ceramic producing techniques, living habits and therevolution of aesthetic ideas, the influences by alien factors should notbe underestimated in researching the intrinsic reasons of thedevelopment of ceramic wares during this period. This paper useceramics of Tang dynasty as the entry points and use the methods ofceramic archeology, try to reveal the interactive exchanges andpenetrations between the cultures of Tang dynasty and other superiorcultures that have together promoted the human civilization throughanalyzing the causes of formation for the references from alien factors infigures and decorations on ceramic wares of Tang dynasty.
